Below is a brief and non-comprehensive list of questions that you may have about this event.
The event is happening on September 12th?
Yes. Our permit is in place. Barring any new and unforeseen provincial orders, the event will happen.
Do the new provincial orders issues Aug 23/24th have any affect on the event?
No. Not at this time. The orders do not affect outdoor events in Vancouver Coastal Health. There are no guidelines or orders for outdoor events with <5000 people. The event occurs prior to any provincial restrictions beginning. If you have questions or concerns, please contact the Race Director via email.
I registered for the 2020 event. Is there anything I need to do?
Yes! You should have received an email with a registration code. You must re-register for the 2021 event beginning July 15 at 7am.
Is registration re-opening?
Registration is open to the event maximum of 300.
I am registered for 2020 but now cannot or don’t want to race?
Anyone who cannot race in 2021 will have the option of carrying forward their registration to 2022. This may still be necessary for athletes traveling from US or other places. At this time, no refunds will be provided.
How will the event be different?
As of Step 3 in BC’s Restart Plan, events <5000 people do not require specific Covid-19 plans. And thus we will endeavor to have an event with little or no changes to our format in 2019. However, you should continue to monitor ever-changing PHO guidance on events. If you have specific concerns, please contact the Race Director.
